5 things that make me look better and cost almost nothing
- Water with lemon or cucumber on empty stomach
It’s already a regular step in my daily routine.
For detoxification, hydrating body from within and general well-being, there’s no better thing than warm water with a slice of lemon or cucumber that you should drink on an empty stomach.
It’s an amazing way to kick off the day. A dose of health to clear body of toxins, as well as moisturize it and rev up metabolism. My friend, who is a healthy food expert, calls it “liquid beauty” and I trust her 😀 - Permanent hydration on highest level
It actually doesn’t matter which face moisturizer you choose. The critical thing is the composition free from harmful dehydrating silicones and other unpleasant surprises that some cosmetic corporations like to present to us. Good, natural ingredients, abounding in moisturising substances e.g. worthful hyaluronic acid: that’s what you need. Even if your skin is oily, never ever refuse your skin a boost of moisture. If you do, it will start to rebel 🙂 If you prefer serum, get 3% high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, choose among some best-sellers. Apply every morning and don’t skip the eye area.
Hyaluronic acid doesn’t cost much yet it has marvelous effect on skin. For your skin, it’s like a sip of cold water on a hot day for you. - Omega acids
Valuable fatty acids make up another key element in my daily routine, both in diet and beauty care. Let me explain that as I’m afraid you might be thinking I want you to rub fish oil into skin 😀 Keep taking fish oil in form of supplementation on a daily basis to stay healthy (fish oil is actually another substance making me rested and keeping my body ‘run like a well-oiled machine’).
I mean omega fatty acids that you can find in… natural oils extracted from nuts and seeds: that’s best you can treat your skin and hair to. Add oils to moisturizer, apply them to hair (hair and scalp oil treatment), mix with hyaluronic acid to make a flawless face serum (ideally, nighttime one). - Face massage
It’s nothing complicated. You know the benefits of exercising on the body. The face is also composed of muscles so when you exercise it, muscles are bouncier, more elastic. Consequently, our aging process is delayed whereas wrinkles are shallower. I use a jade massage roller but feel free to get a tool you like or try a series of exercises (known as face yoga which allegedly gives results after two weeks). I haven’t tried face yoga yet but I surely will. If any of you have tried it and can say something about the effect, please leave a comment 🙂 - Sleep
Sleeping matters.
Not getting enough sleep makes skin look rather… poor. To makes things worse, we don’t feel good either. During sleep, the most crucial repair processes occur. If you don’t get enough of it, your skin has no chance of looking attractive. Sleep at least 7 hours a day and remember that you can’t catch up on lost sleep 🙂
