Do you often feel self-conscious and have an impression that people look at your pimples? Are you fed up with oily skin and adding next coats of powder? Do you cover up your face with thick foundation leaving you with the cake face look? Enough is enough! Let’s get rid of pimples once and for all! Interested? π
Examine your pimples!
I’m not joking. It might seem weird that I tell you to examine them but you must be aware that knowing the enemy is essential for fighting it. Thatβs why you must know first what type of pimples and acne have invaded your face. Let’s get to the point! Explore the topic by answering the following questions:
- Are you a city dweller? Air pollution clogs your skin pores. Smog, toxins, dust are serious enemies of your skin, triggering inflammation.
- Are you exposed to stressful situations? Permanent stress and strain cause pituitary gland function disorder, which is a common cause of persistent acne.
- Addictions are big enemies of skin too. Do you smoke cigarettes, drink coffee or alcohol?
- Do you take any hormone-based medication e.g. contraceptives or fertility drugs? They cause hormonal dysregulation which might trigger acne breakouts.
- Is your skin oily or combination? Do you work at the computer in AC room with fluorescent lamps? The air humidity is dropping, skin loses water whereas sebum glands overproduce oil.
- Do you use chlorinated water for a face wash? Do you happen to sleep wearing full makeup? It’s a crime against your skin and heaven for the pimples!
- Mind what you eat. Write down everything you eat for several days including your skin reaction. It is likely that pimples will be gone after changing some diet habits.
Five effective ways to eliminate pimples
- Skin cleansing
It matters enormously. Never let soaps take part in this stage! Pick the right cleanser, ideally, one based on natural ingredients. For rinsing it, use boiled water. Once or twice a week remove dead skin cells using an enzyme scrub which doesn’t require rubbing so it doesn’t spread pimples all over your face. - Acid-based creams
Fruit acids. They are cut out to fight all pimples, comedones, blemishes and other unwelcome surprises. Why are fruit acids effective at treating acne? Because they slightly exfoliate epidermis and prevent acne breakouts. - Natural oils
It’s not a joke. I recommend fats for curing acne. I mean natural vegetable oils which have healing, disinfecting and antiseptic effect. The best oil to treat acne is… jojoba oil! It is a flawless beauty oil which balances sebum secretion and REALLY CURES ACNE. Use jojoba oil like a night face serum. Afterwards, apply a bit moisturizer to keep the oil in place by creating an occlusive layer. - Salty bath
Don’t forget about skin on your back and chest which has lots of sebum glands and is exposed to acne. Regularly treat your body to Dead Sea salt baths to smooth out and moisturise the skin. Pour a few handfuls of salt into the bathtub with water at approx. 37 celsius degrees. Lie about for 20-30 minutes. - Green clay plus herbs
It’s marvelous combination which tackles acne in a flash. Mix green cosmetic clay with mineral or boiled tap water. Pansy and horsetail infusions are perfect remedies too. What’s more drinking herbal teas every day and using herbal infusions as face toner will let you get rid of pimples.
