Hey girls! Today, I’d like to tell you a little about soothing serums that suits couperose and sensitive skin like no other. Therefore, if you’re looking for a serum that will help you relax your easily-triggered complexion, keep reading because below you’ll find some amazing products.
Couperose skin – care tips
What does couperose skin need in order to look good and remain calm? Is it even possible to eat a spicy dish or drink a hot beverage without ending up with facial redness? Sure, it is! From my own experience, I know that a face serum is the best product to deal with couperose skin. How do I know? Because face serum delivers quick effects, offers large concentrations of active substances and is formulated with a substantial portion of nutrients.
Decent face serum for couperose skin
If you’re looking for the right product to eliminate problems like facial redness, broken capillaries or hyper-sensitivity, then you’re in the right place. Below you’ll find my personal ranking of the best face serums dedicated to couperose and redness-prone skin. A decent face serum should be designed in such a way to bring relief, erase redness and boost skin’s defense mechanisms, so it becomes capable of fighting off external aggressors. You can also find products that, apart from dealing with common couperose skin concerns, also replenish skin with water and nutrients. Some of them can even defy aging.
My FAVE soothing face serums for couperose skin
Nanoil, Anti-Redness Face Serum
It seems to me that this particular serum works best for my skin. Even since I incorporated it into my daily skin regimen, I don’t need other soothing products. Nanoil Anti-Redness Face Serum isn’t expensive if you take into consideration its size and the constituents it’s made from. Let’s focus on the formula then. In this 1.69-oz dark-glass bottle you have a mixture made from horse chestnut extract (targets weak capillaries and makes them stronger), hop cone extract (eliminates irritation and brings relief to stressed-out skin), cypress (prevents the appearance of spider veins) and an antioxidant called Punarnava (promotes even-toned complexion and slows down the aging processes in skin). The texture of this serum is another positive feature to mention. Nanoil Anti-Redness Face Serum is lightweight, so it doesn’t leave any greasy feeling after application. It doesn’t mess up with my makeup either.

Medik8, Calmwise Serum
Here is another serum that works well for me. Its main task is to soothe irritations, which it does pretty well. Fortunately, Medik8 Calmwise Serum isn’t expense. After analyzing the list of ingredients, I noticed that it contains just one plant extract – sage. However, you can find there other naturally-derived substances like for example jojoba oil that suits all skin types, balances sebum production and prevents dryness. The serum delivers quick results: soothes irritated skin in a pleasant way, freeing me from this awful sensation of tight skin. I’ve read that Medik8 Calmwise Serum is also good at caring for sensitive skin affected by rosacea. To sum up, this serum is lightweight, easy to use and delivers good results.
PCA Skin, Anti-Rednes Serum
I remember using PCA Skin Anti-Rednes Serum when my skin was extremely irritated. Back then, I needed a soothing product that brings relief the second I put it on the face. I was so desperate that the price wasn’t an issue at all: I saw a product that offered instant relief, so I bought it. Of course, for the money spent on PCA Skin Anti-Rednes Serum I expected miracles which – to mu surprise – happened! This serum soothed my then hyper-reactive skin. It used to bring relief to my skin, even when it was prickling terribly and was severely reddened. One of its constituents is named aldavine, which is a mixture of brown and ed algae. It has a soothing effect. Capparenols are also responsible for bringing relief to stressed-out skin. Therefore, I find this serum a great option for those with hyper-reactive complexions.
Dermalogical, Ultra Calming Serum
This is another serum that I used to reach for pretty often, but mostly in colder months. This product is a bit greasy, hence completely unsuitable for my skin during the summer. When I applied Dermalogical Ultra Calming Serum on hot days, I ended up with shiny skin. Because of that I introduced the serum to my evening routine – I wash face in the morning, so I remove the greasy feel during that stage. When it comes to the results of the treatment, the serum is good at soothing irritated skin (licorice extract is responsible for that), it removes redness and in general makes skin stronger, so it becomes less reactive. The thing is that you must be systematic and patient to see the effects, but it’s worth it.
La Roche-Posay, Rosaliac Anti-Redness Intense Serum
A fair price, sufficient size and gel formula are what I consider to be advantages of La Roche-Posay Rosaliac Anti-Redness Intense Serum. This product is one of my favorite and I used it a lot when I couldn’t afford more expensive products or when I didn’t know cosmetics that proved to be more suitable for my skin. I’d recommend this serum not only for couperose skin to deal with irritations, but also for discolored and uneven skin. Indeed, this product helped me get even-toned and clear complexion, but I’d had to use it for a while. The effects aren’t immediate, so please be patient with La Roche-Posay Rosaliac. Oh, and I also need to add that this soothing face serum contains no fragrances and doesn’t clog pores.
