Hi!
Acne pops up in the least expected moment and for all sorts of reasons. Once you know what is causing it, it’ll be easier to eliminate. Let’s take a closer look at what leads to acne. Enjoy the below post.
- Genetic liability
Genes hold an enormous role in acne-prone skin type. If your parents had skin-related issues then it’s highly probable that you will have those as well. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about it. You’re limited to skincare and proactive action against it, and so you should stay away from anything and everything that can cause acne or lead to skin condition worsening. - Bacteria
It’s everywhere, on your phone, wet towels, the sheets you haven’t change for a while, your hands. If you’re not taking well care of your surroundings, bacteria and germs find their way to your skin and cause acne. That is why it is so important to keep your hands (especially dirty ones) away from the face, to always wipe your phone, and to wash the sheets and towels at high temperatures. - Hormones
Pregnancy, period, menopause and many other situations or diseases can cause hormones to go wild and become a cause for the acne. Luckily, hormones can be tamed. However, do you really want to damage your organism with drugs? After all, hormones can be also controlled with a healthy lifestyle. - Stress and lack of sleep
Those two factors may not be a direct cause for acne but often translate into general organism worsening. Stress raises cortisol level and that may lead to acne. On the other hand, when you sleep, the organism is regenerating, just like the skin. Lack of right sleep dosage can have a negative impact on your health. - Beauty products
There are cosmetics that clogg pores and cause blackheads and acne. It all depends on the texture and ingredients contained. If cosmetic consists of oils and is thick, it may cause more harm than good. Acne may also be triggered by make-up accessories if they weren’t washed properly. - Food
Some foods may cost you acne due to their impact on hormones level. The foods of this sort are milk, sweets, hot spices, highly processed foods, fats, sugar, soda drinks. If you have acne-prone skin, you should switch into a diet rich in vegetables, fruits, dietary supplements, and plain water.
