What kind of beauty products do I make with green tea?
I use green tea for making cleansing products, toners, masks, eye creams and face steam. Below, I’ve rounded up all ingredients and procedures for making the cosmetics.
Face cleanser
It’s recommended for all skin types. Mix two teaspoons of tea with a teaspoon of honey. Next, apply to face skin and gently massage it in. After a few minutes, rinse face using warm water and follow further skin care steps.
Face toner
This one is a child’s play. Pour cooled green tea into an atomiser bottle and use like a face mist. Just remember two key things: the first one concerns the usage. Pat the skin after spraying the toner, never rub it with cotton pads. The other thing is connected with storage. The bottle should be made from dark glass and kept in a dry, cool, dark place.
Face mask
They are heaven for acne-prone skin. Brew green tea for around thirty seconds and then mix the leaves or the tea bag content with some honey. Leave in on skin for approx. 15 minutes and next rinse it using warm water and apply a moisturizer. Green tea has excellent cleansing, soothing and drying effect.
Relief for skin under eyes
Green tea soothes under-eye dark circles and puffiness, freshens up and boosts energy. After cooling two tea bags, keep them in the refrigerator for approx. 5 minutes. Next, just close your eyes, put the bags on and relax. This type of compress works best after a sleepless night, all-night parties, when you suffer from blood circulation disorders or have a cold.
Green tea facial steam
Brew some green tea leaves in a bowl. Get a towel. Lean over the bowl, drape the towel over the head and try to hold for a few minutes. Extend or shorten the time depending on your skin type. Add herbs, fruit or oils to water: the choice depends on needs of your skin.
